Yolanda Hardin

October 9, 1951 — December 15, 2014

Yolanda Hardin, our sister, relation and friend, found rest in Jesus’ arms on Monday, December 15, 2014.  Her valiant battle against cancer’s enemy over, she embraced her eternal life, and found her new body, free from disease and aging.

Yoli loved to be around family, and was as caring as she was sweet.  She embraced the chance to be Auntie Yoli to her nieces and nephews.

Yoli worked as an administrative professional for many years in Boston.  When her personal circumstances posed a threat to her own well-being, she decided to relocate to a warmer climate, and took up residence with her sister, Lillie Kunkel, in Key Largo, Florida, leaving behind the North End she loved so much.

Yoli was truly a talented woman, enjoying many needlecraft and knit craft hobbies.  Her handiwork is beautiful and detailed, just like her.  Yoli put her heart and soul into each creation she lovingly fashioned.  She had the artistic eye of a genius.

Yoli was preceded in death by her mother, Josie Hardin, and older brother, James Hardin.  She leaves behind a sister, Lillie Kunkel, brother-in-law, Brad Kunkel, and numerous nieces and nephews, and their children.

Funeral arrangements are private.  A memorial service and final interment in Boston, MA, will be announced on a future date.  Donations may be made to any cancer research, treatment, or hospice organization of the donor’s choice.
