Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Allen-Beyer Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm.
William "Bill" R. Orlando passed away suddenly on June 4, 2014, at the age of 62. He was born October 16, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA to Marco and Mary Orlando. Bill lived in New Jersey until moving to the Florida Keys 35 years ago. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Francine; son Matthew (Jade); brother Marco (Sue); sister Maryann, both of NJ; brother Michael (Gloria); nephew Michael (Jennifer) of Homestead; sister-in-law Donna (Darrell); nieces Emily and Kelly; his dog, Naia, and many, many, many friends near and far. Bill was predeceased by his parents and daughter Jenelle. He began his working career in mechanics and driving but spent a big part in insurance sales and then (as a driver) he had recently started his own car service which was making him very happy. The main thing Bill did was to help people and to be a friend. There wasn't anything Bill wouldn't do for a friend or stranger. He loved to "tinker" and fix anything with a motor, building and flying his airplanes, playing cards, fishing, making key lime pies, visiting with friends, and so much more. Bill will be greatly missed by so many. He leaves a big hole in a lot of lives and left a large footprint on this world. Viewing and service were held at Allen-Beyer Funeral Home on June 10, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
