Thomas Jay "Buck" Haas was suddenly taken from us February 25, 2010 at his home in Key Largo, Florida. He was born July 17, 1946 in Bluffton, Ohio to Eugene J. Haas and Martha Jane McCray Haas.
Buck served in the Marine Corps Reserve and he lived and worked as a carpenter in the Florida Keys for 34 years. He was an avid outdoors man with a lifelong love of fishing.
Buck is survived by his wife, Cathryn A. "Kitty" Haas of Key Largo, FL; a daughter Monica Clark of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Kyle and Sophia Clark of Tampa, FL; a sister Twilia Jeannine Heffner of Largo, FL; brother Jonathan Haas of Plant City, FL; nephews and nieces Kenneth Henry Heffner, Keith Andrew Heffner, Margaret Elizabeth Kristina Grubbs, Kimberly Haas, Chanse Haas, T.J. Haas, Michele Renee Kenyon, Tracy Dwayne Hodge, Samuel J. Haas, Billy Haas, Sean Thomas Haas, Jaime C. Cooper and grandniece, Evangeline J. Cooper.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents Eugene J. and Martha Jane Haas, brother William Jeffrey Haas, sister Sharleen Judith Fnourek and brother Samuel Jeridth Haas.
All of us who knew and loved him have a 'Buck Story'. When you remember your story, smile and he will be with you. Buck will be greatly missed by his extended family and many friends.
