Sheldon was the owner/operator of Powell Bros. Painting for over 45 years, serving south Miami and the Upper Keys.
He was born near Ithaca, NY, the youngest of 5 kids, including a fraternal twin brother, and lived to be the oldest of all the siblings at age 87. His mother was born in Czechoslovakia in 1900 and was the oldest of 12 children -- resulting in 41 first cousins, many of whom have since passed. He is survived by his wife (Ruth) of 58 years, daughter Sherrie (husband Jacques) Falardeau, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family
Always a happy person, willing to help anybody, Sheldon loved boating, snorkeling, and catching "bugs". He loved animals and life in general. He had a strong faith in the resurrection hope of a paradise on earth, where he could live forever and again enjoy the back country and the animals, in the earthly paradise that God promised Adam and Eve, if only they would obey. We look forward to seeing him there, where he will be young again, leaping like a gazelle, with no more death, sorrow, or suffering (Rev. 21:3,4), just as God originally purposed for all of us.
