Sandra Kroschel

Sandra E. Kroschel, age 78, of Marathon, FL, passed away on December 24, 2016, after a 4 year illness, at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family.
She was born in Bloomington, IL on August 10, 1938 to Delmar L. Newberry and Ruth M. Dubson-Newberry. She married Robert W. Kroschel on March 27, 1977 in the Peace Church in Bensenville, IL. She was a bartender and waitress for 15 years, but her most important job was being a homemaking wife and mother.
She was a Senior Regents Women of the Moose, a member of San Pablo Catholic Church, a member of the Marathon Moose and the DAV.
She was predeceased by both her parents, son Robert A. Kroschel, and daughter Bridget Kroschel. She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Kroschel; sons Brian (Eva) Wilk, Robert (Michelle) Wilk, and James Wilk; daughters April (Daniel) Neill, Linda (Robert) Niedrich, and Claudine Zito; brother Delmar Newberry; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at San Pablo Catholic Church in Marathon, FL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Sandra’s memory to the Heron House and the Women’s Abuse Center in Marathon, FL.
