Richard Wayne Avery, age 91, of Islamorada, FL, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014.
He was born in Albion, MI on December 29, 1922 to Ida Ruth (Mitchell) and Horace Avery, and served his country during WWII.
He has been a Pharmacist for over 40 years, and operated Avery’s Drug Store in Islamorada since 1956.
Richard was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice Paula Jacobitz, in 1975.
He is survived by his partner, Angela Roberts of Islamorada, FL; son, Doug Avery of Ocala, FL; daughter, Diana Avery Myers of Chula Vista, CA; daughter, Cathy Avery Cronic of Birmingham, AL; son, Jim Avery of Wake Forest, NC; sister, Joyce Frantz; also 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date in Michigan.
