In Loving Memory of Ramon Francisco Garcia-Gomez: The Ultimate Jokester

Ramon Francisco Garcia-Gomez, the life of the party and the master of mischief, bid his final farewell on February 1, 2024, leaving behind a trail of laughter and joyful memories. Known for his quick wit, contagious humor, and penchant for pranks, Ramon's passing has left a void in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Ramon was born on December 3, 1953, in Cabaiguan, Cuba to Zoila Piedad Capestany Gomez and Manuel Lucas Garcia Triana. He migrated to the United States in his teenage years and spent time living in Miami, Florida, Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Palm Coast, Florida and ultimately Key Largo, Florida, until his untimely passing. Ramon spent the longest portion of his career working at Microflex in Ormond Beach, Florida as a supervisor, where his dedication and expertise garnered him the respect and admiration of colleagues. Upon retirement, he decided to keep himself busy and took a job as a back of the house employee at the Postcard Inn located in Islamorada, Florida.

Ramon will be fondly remembered for his love of enjoying some of life’s simplest pleasures, like cooking, grilling, boating, and fishing, which he did at every opportunity.

Ramon was a loving father who cherished his children. He is survived by his adoring children, Jessica Zoila Quintana (Garcia), Anna Teresa Guerrero, and Ramon Francisco Garcia Jr., his daughter-in-law Debbie Quintana, a host of extended family, dear friends, and colleagues.

Never one to take life too seriously, Ramon approached every day with a smile on his face and a joke up his sleeve. Whether he was pulling a harmless prank on a friend or keeping things light, Ramon had an uncanny ability to bring joy and laughter to any situation.

Let us celebrate his life in the way he would have wanted – with laughter, joy, and a generous sprinkle of silliness. Though Ramon may no longer be with us in body, his spirit lives on in the countless memories he created and the laughter he inspired. So let us raise a glass, share a laugh, and toast to the memory of Ramon Francisco Garcia-Gomez – the ultimate jokester, eternal fisherman, experienced boat captain loving father and beloved friend we will never forget.

Ramon will be laid to rest in a private ocean ceremony, his favorite place on earth.
