Michael Joseph "Joe" Brown
Michael J. Brown, age 65, of Key Largo, FL, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, at his residence.
He was born July 14, 1947 in Beardstown, IL, the son of Robert L. and Mary (Aten) Brown.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy Hobrock (husband Butch); brother Patrick of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law Ruth Ann Brown; nephews Doug (wife Suzanne), Mark (wife Katie), Brad (wife Jamie) Hobrock, and Bobby Joe (wife Heidi) Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bob.
Joe graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1965. He attended the University of Illinois and South Illinois University prior to being drafted into the U.S. Army. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam.
He was known by many for his talents in the cooking field as a Chef. There was no better Chef around. You could never get enough of the food he prepared. He worked in several local restaurants before moving to Florida over 20 years ago.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., at Allen-Beyer Funeral Home, 101640 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, FL .
