Be Comforted
My life is ended here at peace with the sea.
The Lord has called me home and I am free
to go peacefully.
Don't mourn my passing as I am now in the presence of the Glory of God,
His bright love is abundant and his promises are real.
I will wait here for you dear ones in Jesus’ arms and watch over you with him until you also come home.

Matthew Martin Stewart Conway, a student of Marine Mechanic Institute, MMI in Orlando FL and a life-long resident of Seminole County, Florida passed away on Nov. 7th 2015 at the age of 22 while visiting his favorite paradise home in Islamorada, Fl.

Matthew had a genuine lust for life and learning. His smile and humor was most infectious. He was an avid scuba diver; he loved spearfishing and lobster hunting. He was quite talented in wake boarding, surfing and paddle boarding. As he would say, “I love anything to do with the ocean!”  He was so loved and left an indelible impression on everyone who encountered him.

His parents; Tom Conway of Sanford, Fl., his mother Pam Stewart-Conway of Islamorada, Fl., his sister Brieanne Conway of Islamorada and his Nephew Liam Griffith of Islamorada survive Matthew. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Elmer and Lillian Conway, Virgil and Annie Mae Stewart, his uncles, Herbert Stewart, Larry Stewart, Timothy Stewart and his Aunt Patty Conway.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday Nov.15th 2015 at Marker 88 restaurant in Islamorada at 1PM. There is a 2nd one planned for November 22nd 2015 in New Smyrna Beach, FL at 2PM. on the beach at the Flagler Ave. beach ramp. Following this will be a gathering in Matthew’s name at JB’s Fish Camp, New Smyrna Beach.

In lieu of flowers, cash and check donations can be made in the name of Pam Conway (107 Tequesta Street Islamorada, FL 33070). 100% of all donations will be distributed between Matthew’s school, the Marine Mechanic Institute, MMI in Orlando and his favorite oceanic foundations in the Florida Keys in remembrance of Matthew Conway.
