WOISCHWILL, MARTHA ANN
79, died Tuesday morning Feb. 13, 2013.
She passed peacefully after a long illness.
Martha was born May 4, 1933, in Lulu, Florida to Clarence and Helen Gillen. Born to a large family, Martha had six brothers and sisters.
After marrying, she and Kirby, her husband of 61 years, lived most of their adult lives in Miami, but enjoyed 31 years of retirement as proud residents of Key Largo.
A woman of steadfast determination, but also nurturing and caring, Martha played the central role in raising two sons and managing a household. She was funny, easygoing, approachable and welcoming to others
in the neighborhood. Martha took time to have fun as well.
She was an avid and skilled fisherman, fishing
elbow-to-elbow with others on the boat.
Martha will be remembered as a devoted wife, terrific mother, a wonderful grandmother and friend.
Martha's husband, Kirby, passed away last April. She is
survived by sons Craig Woischwill and Phillip
Woischwill, daughter-in-law Deborah Woischwill, and
grandson Matthew Woischwill. Martha is also survived
by brother Roland Gillen of Lulu, Fla. Everyone who knew her will miss her greatly.
The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice of the
Upper Keys, and most especially Jenny Izquierdo of
Griswold Home Care, for the extraordinary and personal
care given to Martha and Kirby over the past several years.
Visitation will be from 10:30 - 11:30 am Saturday, Feb. 16,
with a funeral service to follow immediately at Allen
Beyer Funeral Home, 101640 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo,
FL 33037.
