Marcia F. Ledwith was born in New York on September 21, 1935, and passed away peacefully in Islamorada, Florida on December 15, 2023. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who brought love and joy to her family and friends. Marcia's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Marcia was a dedicated and loving mother to her son Michael, who cherished her deeply. She so loved and was a very proud grandmother to Christian, Jessica, and Amanda. Marcia's caring nature extended to her great-granddaughter, Adeline, who brought immense happiness to her life. She found joy in nurturing and seeing her family thrive.
Throughout her life, Marcia shared a special bond with her sister Barbara, and brother in-law Gene. Although she was preceded in death by her brothers George and Tom, their memories lived on as Marcia treasured the familial ties they shared.
Marcia was a beloved aunt, cousin, neighbor and friend to many. Her warm and welcoming presence made others feel valued and appreciated. She had life long friendships with the gals in their “Club”, enjoying decades of get togethers, trips & dinners. Marcia was always there to offer a helping hand or a listening ear.
Born in New York and living a large part of her life in Staten Island, NY. After retiring from North Richmond Mental Health, Marcia became a resident of Whiting, NJ, and Islamorada, FL. She was very active for many years, lobbying for citizens with hearing impairments.
Marcia will be remembered for her unwavering love, her nurturing nature, and her ability to bring people together. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her impact on the lives she touched will endure. A celebration of life is planned for late summer 2024.
