Lela Streeter

October 10, 1927 — December 22, 2013


Lela I. Streeter, 86, of Tavernier, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 22, 2013. Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late James W. Holbrook and Sarah E. Gagnon. She was a receptionist at the Wareham Savings Bank in Wareham, MA, before moving to Florida in 1971. After settling in Key Largo, she became very active as a square dancer with the Key Lime Twisters, as well as the Coral Country Cloggers. Preceding her in death was her husband Frank E. Streeter, Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Sandy and William Harrelson of Key Largo; two grandchildren, William, Jr. and Sarah; her sister, Elizabeth (Gus) Guisado of CA; her brother Clyde (Joyce) Holbrook of MA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Key Largo, mm 99.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Key Largo Youth Group.
