Kent Van Winkle 85 passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Key Largo, Florida on November 17, 2024, after a long illness. Kent was born in Dayton, Ohio to Keith and June Van Winkle. He served four years as an U.S. Air Force pilot. Following his years of service he became a commercial airline pilot, which he loved. He always said, "you never need to work a day in your life if you love what you do " and he did.
Kent is survived by his children Connie and Michael and their wonderful mother Betty. Additionally, he has 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his one remaining younger sibling Carol and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his four younger brothers.
A memorial service will be held on December 6, 2024, at the Allen Beyer Funeral home 101640 Overseas Highway Key Largo FL 33037 from 2:00P-4:00P. Graveside services will be Saturday December 7, 2024, at the Graceland Memorial Park S.W. 8th St Miami, Florida at 1:00p
