Keith Allan Gover of Melbourne Florida, age 64 passed away on March 10, 2022, in Key Largo Florida. He was born March 11, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas to Jeri and Allen Gover. Keith is survived by his wife, Shari Warren-Gover. Keith fully embraced all that was Florida, especially golf, after moving to Indialantic with his family in 1971 at the age of 13 from Plano, Texas. Keith graduated from Melbourne High School in 1985 and attended the University of Florida.
Keith was a proud Texan and an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He also loved the University of Florida Gators and enjoyed supporting the Baylor Bears, along with his sister, Valerie, brother-in-law, Mark and nephews, Taylor, and Matt Bergstrom.
Keith’s friends are too numerous to count. His longest friendships were with Keith Storms and Brian Young, whom he met at Hoover Jr. High. Keith was on the golf team at Melbourne High School under the tutelage of Coach Gary Shiffrin, “Coach Shiff”. He loved to play golf and was happy to play with young and old alike. Keith spent countless hours playing golf at Suntree Country Club with Mark Figura, Dave Loman, Pete Peppy, Michael Schur, Scooter Webster and Brian Young. Keith was the “leader of the pack” and planned numerous golf trips with his buddies.
Keith began working in construction with Charlie Burklew. He decided to study for his General Contractors license and went to work with Holiday Builders in 1992. In 2005 he started his own company, KAG Construction where Jake Vogel was instrumental in helping him build the business. Keith recently retired from Gibraltar Builders.
In 2013 Keith married Shari Warren. Forty of their closest friends and family traveled to St. Thomas aboard The Freedom of the Seas to attend their wedding ceremony. Keith and Shari were inseparable and enjoyed a lot of laughter in their marriage.
Keith and Shari were on his 65th birthday trip to Key West when he suddenly passed. All his family and friends have felt the earth shift. Keith did his best to help everyone that he crossed paths with, no matter their need. Once he called you his friend, you were his friend for life.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Allen Gover; his grandparents, Lillian and W. A. Gardner, Ila and Ira Gover; uncles, Doug Gardner, Don Gover; aunt, Charlene Key; cousins, Patrick Gover and Jeff Key.
Keith is survived by his beloved wife, Shari Warren Gover and their Labrador, Star. Keith is also survived by his mother, Jeri Gover, his first and best friend and sister, Valerie Bergstrom (Mark); nephews, Taylor Bergstrom (Elisa), Matt Bergstrom (Tiffany); great nieces and nephews, Kate and Bennett Bergstrom, Makenzie and William Bergstrom; In laws, Elaine and Chuck Warren, sister-in-law, Barbie Warren (Julie); former wife, Lisa Gover; aunt, Kathleen Gover, aunt Sue and uncle Roy Gover, who he had a special relationship with; cousins, Debbie Daley, Julie Siegmund (Tony), Denise Young (Michael), Craig Gardner (Carol), Greg Gover, Debra Gover, Karen Gover (Jon), Ray Lowery and family as well as many great nieces and nephews.
