Kathleen Kalis

Kathleen “Kay” Kalis, age 76, a resident of Islamorada, FL, for over 20 years, passed away May 5, 2013. She will be remembered for her free-spirited personality, and her love for the Keys.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Kathleen Connors, her son Donald Timothy Kalis, and her daughter Kelly Ann Kalis.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Paul Kalis of Bricktown, NJ; her sons Charles Paul (wife Trish) Kalis of Westfield, NJ and Jamey John (wife Patti) of Bricktown, NJ. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Chad, Christopher, Kelly, and Carly of Westfield, NJ; Rylee and Jaycee of Bricktown, NJ.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A private service will be held at a later date in Hazelwood Cemetery, Rahway, NJ, where she will join her late son and daughter.
Kay had a love of animals and turtles, so in her memory, donations are requested to be made to the Upper Keys Humane Society, P.O. Box 370511, Key Largo, FL 33037 and/or The Turtle Hospital, 2396 Overseas Hwy, Marathon, FL 33050.
