JOSEPH FRANCIS MAIN, 77, of New Haven, and Marathon, Fla., passed peacefully, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Miami, Fla. surrounded by the love of his family. He was born Nov. 24, 1935 in Fort Wayne, the son of the late John and Mary (Crow) Main. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne, in 1954. He was the owner and operator of Main's Flower Garden, a family nursery business, in New Haven, for over 50 years. He enjoyed his winters in The Florida Keys where he was an avid fisherman. He loved traveling, camping, gardening and most of all his "beautiful family." Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Germaine (Inman) Main of Marathon, Fla.; seven children, Luetta Burlage of St. Joe, Ind., Mary Jo Chaffins of Auburn, Ind., Joseph Main Jr. of Fort Wayne, Patrick Main of Fort Wayne, Russell Main Sr. of New Haven, Jeffrey Main of Marathon, Fla., and Jaime Main of Hood River, Oregon; 26 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Joan Finton of Roanoke, Ind. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Koch; son, Joseph Charles Main; three brothers, John Main, James Main, and Richard Main; former wife, Gloria Ann Boyles; and three grandchildren. Memorial service was held at San Pablo Catholic Church on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
