James E. Tucker, 73, of LaCrosse, WI and Key Largo, FL passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 21, 2010 in Key Largo. He graduated from high school in Onalaska, WI, furthering his education with two years at LaCrosse State University.
Jim and Barb were owners and operators of Skipper Bud's Service; moving forward to ownership in Supreme Marine Minneapolis and PowrHouse Marine in LaCrosse. Jim was also active in the Benevolent Order of Elks Club and the U.S. Coast Guard Ausillary.
Jim's passion for water travels with first mate Barbara took him to the Florida Keys, Bahamas and Cost Rica; which led to his summer count down of days to be fishing offshore and on the reefs of Florida on boats "Tuck's Toy" and "Last Lady".
Jim had a love for mechanics and had the willingness to help someone needing help with anything broken. He was also a woodworker, crafting grandfather clocks and wonderful rocking horses for the grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by parentsLaVerne and Gladys (Janshen) Tucker and sister Joyce Nagel.
Survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara Ann, three sons Alan, Stephen, David and daughter Julie, grandchildren Jennifer, Kathleen, James S. Stephanie, Elizabeth and Sophie; also two great grandchildren, Patrick and Brooke and two sisters Donna Flugstad and Delores Zanter.
