James Brendon Moloney
(September 4, 1923 – March 30, 2021)
James Brendon Moloney , 97, formerly of Lowell Massachusetts, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in his home in Key Largo, Florida. He was the husband of Jean (Smith) Moloney, a long time member of the D.A.R., who predeceased him.
He was born in Lowell, MA on September 4, 1923, the son of James J. Moloney and Mabel M. (Shennick) Moloney.
He served during WWII aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Ranger (CV-4). He went on to a long career in Lowell as an electrician and then as an educator. He was a communicant at the Sacred Heart Church and the Immaculate Conception Church of Lowell.
He enjoyed traveling with his family and spending summers at the beach in New Hampshire. Finally, he lived with his family in Key Largo and daily attended Tranquility Bay Adult Center.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly (Moloney) Trejo and his son-in-law John C. Trejo of Key Largo, his grandchildren: Tara M. Trejo, her fiancé Rick Jamison of Tavernier, FL, James A. Trejo of Miami, FL, Catherine M. (Trejo) Cotera and her husband Ornel A. Cotera, great grandson Ornel C. Cotera of Deerfield Beach, FL, and his good friends Erika Lee Whitley and Bridget J. Corey of Key Largo.
James B. Moloney is in the care of the Allen-Beyer Funeral Home of Key Largo. In lieu of sending flowers the family wishes for a charitable gift to Tranquility Bay Adult Center. This can be directed to:
