Francine Freimann Snyder

Francine Freimann Snyder, 78, of Chicago and Key Largo, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024 surrounded by family.

An alumna of Immaculata College in Pennsylvania, Francine was a lifelong lover of music and travel, home cooking and fine dining, broadway musicals and classic movies.  She was also an avid volunteer in her community, including with the American Cancer Society and Loyola Academy.  She was known for her devotion to her husband of 56 years, to her four children, and to her eight grandchildren.  Many will remember her great dinner parties, her quick wit and sense of humor, and her competitiveness at the canasta and mahjong tables. She treasured the friendships made at her beloved Ocean Reef Club. 

Francine is survived by her husband Thomas, her children Paul (Amy), Lorraine (Kevin Fitzgerald), Stephen (Anna), and David (Blanca), and her grandchildren Abigail, Thomas, Margaret, Madeline, Mateo, Elena, Benjamin, and Lucia.  She is predeceased by her father Frank Freimann, her mother Lorraine G. Freimann, her sister Danielle Basil, her brother-in-law Peter Basil, and her sister-in-law Polly Michel.
