DOROTHY S. ENGLE December 13, 1929 to July 7, 2011

Dorothy S. Engle, a.k.a., "Aunt Dot" of Key Largo, Florida passed away after a short illness on
July 7, 2011, at Miami Baptist Hospital Cardio Unit. She was 81 years young.
Dot was born on December 13, 1929 in Yonkers, New York. She is predeceased by her husband Louis
Engle, mother Mary Lucas Sabat, father Harry Sabat, sisters Anna Gladke and Helen Sabat and a nephew
Michael Gladke, Jr. She is survived by her best friend's niece Carol Ann Cefola and Canadian Wife #1
Linda Jane Barrett.
In 1951 Dot was hired to work in GESTETNER's Duplicating Advertising Department a year after they
opened their first office in the United States. She worked there in Management for forty-three years.
As a tribute to Dot at her retirement party, that people from all over the world attended,
GESTETNER instituted the annual Dorothy S. Engle Quality Award.
She moved to Key Largo in 2006, was very active in the Silver Shores Community and the Red Hat
Society. Everyone who knew her loved her and she was everyone's "Aunt Dot". We all will miss her
smiling face, her many hugs, and her lust for life.
All are invited to a celebration of life for "Aunt Dot" which will be held Friday, December 9th at Allen-Beyer Funeral Home, 101640 Overseas Hwy, at 4:00 pm.
Instead of flowers, contributions can be made to Burton Memorial Food Pantry in Key Largo, Florida.
