Daryl Julie Cullen, born April 17, 1961 in Tauranga, New Zealand, lost her courageous battle with breast cancer on June 16, 2017 at her home in Key Largo, FL. Daryl is survived by her mother and father, Diane and David Franklin, her son, Matthew Quann, her sister and brother in law, Dana and David Payakovich, and their son, Daryl’s nephew, Darren Payakovich. Daryl was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 17 years, Russell Hudson Cullen and his mother, Anne Cullen.
Daryl was a paralegal for Russel for 15 years and most recently, a flight attendant for Southern Wine and Spirits as well as a real estate agent in Key Largo, FL for Star Properties. Among many other things, Daryl would want to be remembered as Matthew’s proud mother, a loving daughter and sister, a loyal friend, a passionate volunteer with a heart filled with wanderlust.
During this difficult time, some special thanks is extended to Mr. Jim Jeske, Ms. Hannah Porter, Dr. Joanne Mahoney, Dr. Stan Zuba, The Bailey Hospice Center of St. Augustine, FL, the VNA of the Upper Keys, and all her loving friends both near and far for all their love and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Daryl Cullen’s behalf to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Foundation.
Cheers to Daryl’s amazing life and legacy and to her next great adventure. Fly High!
