Christopher Cherubini

July 20, 1968 — July 18, 2022

Key Largo

Christopher William Cherubini passed away on July 18, two days before his 54th birthday from diabetic complications. Chris was born on July 20, 1968, in Somers Point, New Jersey. At the age of five Chris moved to Key Largo and grew up enjoying all that the Keys had to offer: swimming, diving, fishing, and camping. Chris was a non-conformist with great wit, intelligence, and undeniable leadership skills. This combination of attributes led him to conduct a life of adventure enlivened with daring. Chris was adept at living in a great many environments such as: on a sailboat, in the Everglades, in the mountains of Washington or any sort of wilderness. Chris worked as an assistant P.E. teacher, carpenter, and caretaker for his step-grandparents in their final years. He is kindly remembered by his stepfamily who appreciated his excellent care of their parents. Chris leaves behind the love of his life, Jennifer Royce, many Key Largo friends, and his faithful dog, Bear. He is survived by his mother, Jamie Daggett, his father, Gary Cherubini, (Deborah Cherubini), and half- sister, Anelise Cherubini McChesney (Adam McChesney). He is affectionately remembered by the Royce grandchildren as “Grandpa”. Chris is predeceased by his stepfather, Byron Daggett. He will be greatly missed by his many loving relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 15, at 815 Oceana Ave, Key Largo, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
