Cheryl Ann LaPointe (nee Simmons), age 65, found peace on June 12, 2022, after a valiant and prolonged battle with cancer. Cheryl was born in Wisconsin to Robert and Evelyn Simmons. She left Wisconsin at the age of 21 to visit Florida and fell in love with the state, she decided to make this her forever home.
Cheryl was beautiful, talented and made a wonderful life she loved in the Keys. She and her husband Bob owned and operated Bluewater Canvas in Ocean Reef for many years. She also owned Lapointe Interiors, a full-service Interior Decorating and Redesign & Real Estate Staging Company. Her talent for design and decorating showed in everything she touched. During these last few years, she worked at the front desk at Key Largo Kampground and Marina greeting guests with her beautiful smile and taking care of their reservations. Cheryl was loved by all.
Cheryl leaves behind her former husband and best friend Bob. Her son Benjamin and fiancé Jen and their daughter Ari. Along with all of her eight brothers and sisters, Dale, Beverly, Tina, Peppy, Jeffrey, Patty, Keith and Richard, in addition to her more than ninety nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Cheryl's spirit is with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, No more pain and suffering. She will live on in the hearts and thoughts of everybody who knew and loved her.
