Cheryl Fails

Cheryl “Cheri” Fails, age 68, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Miami, Florida, after an emergency surgery.

She was born on June 28, 1954, to Lavern and Betty Kohl and was raised in Appleton, WI

Cheri was a hard worker, as was demonstrated in her commitment to and longevity at her place of employment over the years. She worked for 22 years at J. J. Keller and Associates in Neenah, Wisconsin. After relocating to Key largo, she worked at Mull and Associates for 8 years until Mull and Associates retirement. Cheri then joined Tolley and Hill CPA, where she was greatly appreciated by her employers and coworkers for 18 years.

Cheri married Larry Fails on June 23, 1972, and they raised their family in Wisconsin. Once the family was grown, they moved to Florida; their 3 children soon followed. They settled in Key Largo, where they enjoyed the Florida warmth and sunshine. Cheri’s love in life was her family, as was displayed daily.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry; two sons, Jamie Fails and Craig Fails and partner Bre Fairweather; one daughter, Shantel Loftus and husband Ben, and two grandsons, Mason and Ryas Loftus.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Allen-Beyer Funeral Home, 101640 Overseas Highway, Key Largo, on Thursday, December 8, from 4-6 PM.
