Charles Craig "Bud" Holloway, 85, passed away in his home on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, surrounded by family and close friends. Bud was born in Chicago and grew up in Evanston, IL. After honorably serving in the U.S. Marine Corp., he attended the University of Iowa, and went on to obtain his law degree.
Bud worked most of his life for Inland Container Corporation in Indianapolis, IN.
While visiting friends in the Keys, he fell in love with "his paradise", and purchased a home on Big Pine for retirement. Bud's fondest memories and true passion involved his many years working with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Bud is preceded in death by his parents and sister. He is survived by his brother John Holloway, daughters Martha Hensley (Dana) and Julia Holloway (Anthony Burgess), son Charles Holloway, Jr., five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. The family especially thanks "Sparky" Felix and Richard McCausland for their friendship, loyalty, and care during Bud's last days.
A celebration of life at sea will be planned for a future date.
