Carol Ann (Gladke) Cefola passed away on April 9, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. She was 70 years old. Born in Yonkers, New York to Michael and Anna (Sabat) Gladke, she attended Gorton High School, Westchester Community College and Brooklyn Polytech. A 22 year employee of IBM, she also owned and operated Packaging Plus in Stamford, CT. Residing in Key Largo, Florida since 2002, Carol Ann was very active in the Silver Shores Community, Red Hat Society, Sons and Daughters of Italy, St. Justin the Martyr Church and various volunteer groups in the Key Largo area. She traveled extensively to Europe, Asia and North & South America. Carol Ann was predeceased by her parents, a brother Michael Gladke Jr., an uncle, entertainer Peter Gladke, and two aunts, Helen Sabat and Dorothy S. Engle. She is survived by her multitude of friends who are all fortunate to have had Carol Ann in their lives. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St Justin the Martyr Church, 105500 Overseas Hwy., Key Largo, FL, and a "Celebration of Life for Carol Ann" is planned for later this year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
