Brigid Moyer passed away at her home on Friday, December 16, 2011 surrounded by her family after a long term battle with cancer. Born on July 6, 1957 in Long Island, New York to the late William and Gertrude Meskel she was preceded in death by her siblings Jeanne d'Arc Bonfiglio, Mary States and Mark Meskel. A resident of the Florida Keys for almost 40 years she was the Association Executive for the Marathon and Lower Keys Association of Realtors for 26 years. She is survived by siblings Bernadette Bachman, Theresa Staskey, Paul Meskel and Bill Meskel; her children Barbara Cantrell, Brendon Fowler, Jennifer Moyer and Austin Moyer; her grandchildren Mason Cantrell and Addyson Beaumont, as well as her "favorite husband" Drew. A Celebration of Life was held at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Big Pine, Florida on Thursday, December 22 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the VNA/Hospice of the Florida Keys.
