Mrs. Betty L. senf, 79, of Big Pine Key, Florida passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010. She was born June 16, 1930 in Elwood, Inciana to Leo and Margaret Peitz. She graduated high school and joined the United States Navy where she served proudly until she received an honorable discharge. While in the Navy wshe met her husband to be, Jack M. Senf. On June 18, 1954 they were married in Kingsville, Texas. During their marriage they traveled the country to include stays overseas. Betty was a devoted naval wife and mother.
Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. Betty was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Big Pine Key, Florida.
She is survived by her three children, Mike (Olga) Senf of Burlington, Iowa; Cindy (Bob) Peryam of Big Pine Key, FL; and Pat (Loralee) Senf of Flagstaff, Arizona and her sister, Ann Caplinger of Elwood, Indiana. Betty is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her brother Leo Peitz and her sister Margaret (Peg) Kelly.
A Memorial Mass was held at St. Peter Catholic Church on Monday, April 5, 2010. Donations may be made in Betty's name to any American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team.
