After calling Key Largo home for over 30 years, on December 8th, 2019, Anita Yuhasz was so excited to walk into church, her heart fluttered a bit too fast. This prompted her swift journey to the one place where there is no hand sanitizer, Heaven. Now free of any wafting strong fragrances, she leaves behind a loving husband of over 50 years, David Yuhasz and her children Dan, Amy, Grace and Eric. Her clan continued with two grandsons Daniel and Benjamin Richards. You have to give credit to Anita’s brother-in-law and sister, Lawrence and Annette Yarbrough, who put up with Anita’s shenanigans starting back in Cincinnati, Ohio over 71 years ago. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention all the students in South Florida who devoured the gummies and puffy peppermints “Mrs. U-House” freely disseminated as she taught for so many years. If she didn’t impact your life as a teacher, you might have crossed Anita’s path while she worked 15 years for the U.S. Census Bureau or ran a voter’s poll in the Upper Keys. Please join Phil Smalley, the cousin turned brother, and the rest of the family for one last puffy peppermint from Mrs. Yuhasz at Allen-Beyer’s Funeral Home in Key Largo on Saturday, December 14th starting at noon.
As an alternative to flowers, please consider donating to a local food pantry.
