Alfred Oscar Bjorck, born on July 5, 1923 in Huntington, Long Island, better known to all who loved him as “Skip”, passed away peacefully in his home on February 20, 2015, he was 92 years young. Skip resided in Key Largo, Florida for twenty eight years.
Skip served in the Navy during World War II and was retired from the Dock Builders Union. He married Anastasia Dillon in 1977. They were married for thirty eight years. Anastasia passed away on December 30, 2011. His favorite past time was to sail with his loved ones on his boat named the “Key Lime Tri” and you could always catch him hanging at the Caribbean Club. During Skip’s later years he spent half his time between Key Largo and Goshen, CT. In both homes Skip enjoyed spending his time woodworking; whether it was a bench, table, or a small simple project Skip was sure to share his creation with you and tell you all about it.
Skip is survived by his children: Marianne and John Livacarri; James and Nancy Dillon; Robert Dillon; Patricia and William Dunbar; Carol and Anthony Russo; and Steven Bjorck; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; his best friend Forest Magargel and his wife Sharon.
Skip was a warm and kind hearted man with a funny personality and a happy contagious spirit. We know Skip is happy throwing off the bowlines, sailing away from the harbor, and catching the trade winds in his sails.
Private service will be held at a later date.
